The COVID-19 vaccination for frontline workers will start in the first week of February, reports ANI quoting a government official.

The mass immunisation against coronavirus started in the country on January 15, two weeks after the drug regulator gave approval to Serum Institute’s Covishield and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for emergency use in India.

A total of 2,928,053 people have received the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine in India as of January 29.
