Since physical classes will commence amid the coronavirus pandemic, the government has issued a set of guidelines.
Here are the instructions to be followed:
1. Students of classes 10 and 12 will be allowed to attend in-person classes, with parental consent.
2. Schools in containment zones will remain shut.
3. Attending schools will be voluntary and online classes will continue
4. A record of students, attending the school, will be maintained. But, it’ll not serve as the attendance log.
5. No assembly or physical outdoor activities will be allowed.
6. All social distancing protocols, including staggered entry and exit, will be followed.
7. If required, there’ll be two shifts, depending on the number of students.
8. Transport facilities will not be provided by the schools.
9. At a time, only 12 to 15 students will be allowed inside the labs.
10. Lab’s time table will be approved by the Directorate of Education of the state government.
11. To minimise contact among students, the same set of them will be grouped together.
12. Hand sanitisation is a must in labs.
Although the Centre allowed schools to reopen in September, state governments took the decision based on the virus situation in their states.
