On June 7, Jonez posted from her Tiktok handle @mandyvjones, adding a splash of balsamic vinegar and La-Croix to a glass of ice, revealing that her instructor advised her to drink the concoction daily.
She proceeds to try the drink in her video, seeming shocked and exclaiming that it “tasted like a Coke”.

Soon after, the hashtag #healthycoke was trending with 4.6 million views, and viewers had varying reactions to the hack. The Tiktok amassed 5.4 million views in two days, and initially received much criticism.
The actor admits that she stopped reading the negative comments, until other Tiktokers reshared the hack, giving positive feedback. This led to a significant portion of viewers changing their minds after attempting to recreate and taste the drink.
Heather Martin, a dietician, also made the drink to ascertain if it was as healthy as Jones claimed it was. The “healthy Coke”, when made correctly, contains 5 grams of sugar when compared to a 12-ounce Coke, which had 65 grams of sugar in it.
However, dieticians have also advised against excess consumption of the drink. Lauren Manaker revealed that it could be harmful to those with stomach ulcers and lead to tooth enamel breakdown.
Jones, like many others, had resorted to social media during the pandemic, stating that the instantaneous feedback on platforms proved to be better than her LA-based day job, which could not possess the feature.
