Last week, officials from Indian Council of Medical Research had noted
that usage of colour in the terms are causing citizens to panic.

“I will say not to be driven by panic by colour. Let us find what kind
of fungal infection is the person infected with as most fungal infections that
cause fatal or severe disease are invasive fungal infection so that can occur
when there is a reduction or compromise in immunity”, Dr Samiran Panda, Head of
Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases at the ICMR, was quoted by PTI as saying
regarding the issue, emphasizing on the intensity of the infection rather than
the colour.
