Celebrated actor Rajinikanth has been released from
hospital on Sunday, news agency ANI tweeted, quoting Apollo Hospital,
Hyderabad.

Rajinikanth was admitted on December 25 amidst severe fluctuations in blood pressure.

A tweet earlier on Sunday noted that the actor was due to be released as his blood pressure has been stabilised, adding that he was “feeling much better”.

On Saturday the hospital had said that his blood pressure, which was fluctuating at an alarming rate on Friday upon his admission, was under control, though still being on the higher side.

It had further noted no alarming elements to have emerged from the investigations.

Shooting for a movie since the last 10 days, the actor
isolated himself after several members on set tested positive for COVID-19. Reports
for the Tamil superstar, however, turned out to be negative.
