India celebrates Shaheed Diwas, also known as Martyrs’ Day on March 23 every year. Indians pay tribute to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru for their sacrifices during India’s struggle for independence. The three freedom fighters were hanged by the British on this day in 1931.
