Thousands of viewers were moved by a heartwarming video of a woman approaching her wedding location holding a portrait of her late mother. The bride was teary-eyed as she entered the site, holding a portrait of her mother, in footage from a wedding in Pakistan. She was seen entering the event with her father, who was also extremely distraught.

Photographer Maha Wajahat Khan posted a video of the emotional moment on Instagram, dedicating it to all daughters who have lost their mothers. In the footage, the bride’s relatives can also be seen wiping away tears and soothing her. During the bride’s vidaai, or formal farewell, the 57-second footage finished with a shot of the bride and her father hugging.

The video has received over 2.8 lakh views and over 800 comments since it was shared two days ago.

In the comments section, one individual said, “Too emotional to handle.” Another said, “I always cry watching this.” Several others expressed their love and best wishes to the bride in the comments section.

Of course, this isn’t the first time a wedding video has gone viral on social media. A bride refused to enter the venue until her favourite song was played earlier this year, and the video went viral. Shivani Pippel posted a video on August 15 in which she refuses to enter her wedding site because the song she requested was not played.

A video from the COVID era shows a bride and groom going to considerable measures to maintain social distance throughout their wedding, which amused many. The video, which was shared on Twitter by Dipanshu Kabra, the assistant transport commissioner of Chhattisgarh, shows a man and a woman exchanging wedding garlands using bamboo sticks. Both of them are seen wearing masks as well.

In August 2020, Shrinivas Gupta, an industrialist, put a silicon wax statue of his wife Madhavi, who died in a car accident in July 2017, at his housewarming celebration in Koppal. The ceremony’s photos have subsequently gone viral on social media.
