Kate Bishop is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She was originally created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung in the 2000s in the pages of the Young Avengers comics. She is highly skilled at archery, fencing, boxing, and other forms of combat. She is rumored to be Clint Barton’s successor to the mantle.
She is the third character to take the Hawkeye name, after Clint Barton of the Avengers and Wyatt McDonald of the Squadron Supreme. Her costume is patterned on those of the first Hawkeye and Mockingbird. She was first introduced as Kate Bishop in the 12th issue when Clint was dead and she took up the Hawkeye mantle in his honor.
