Humanity means human beings collectively.
Humanity is the human race, which includes everyone on Earth. It’s also a word for the qualities that make us human, such as the ability to love and have compassion, be creative, and not be a robot or alien. We at ray foundation know that humanity is a matter of fact and we can’t ignore it and we’ll fight against any social evil which tries to disturb the peace and harmony of humanity.
Since last year we been seeing so much of hatred, all around that it feels like we are cutting our own strings of life.
We would like to recollect some of the major incidents that had happened since last year to till date that have makes us realised there’s so much darkness over the world.
1.Last year Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta on Saturday in support of the Asian American community after a shooting at three local day spas this week left eight people dead, six of them Asian women. Still Asian hate is going on somehow, people still make Asian feel responsible for the pandemic we all saw last time, they judge the Asians in wrong way, killing their spirit.
2. During The pandemic time , Black life matters started taking over the headlines as the protests against the police killings of George Floyd and many other Black people in the United States catalyzed a transnational movement. Around the world, people mobilized to express solidarity with protesters in the United States while also challenging U.S. imperialism, as well as systemic racism, colonialism, and police brutality in their own countries.
3. Thousands of farmers, mostly from Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh, have been camping at several Delhi border points since 26 November last year, demanding a repeal of three farm laws — Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020. They also demanded a legal guarantee on Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for their crops. Many farmers were beaten up by the cops as what we have gathered from the sources.
4. Again this year the cops in Myanmar seized control on 1 February following a general election which Ms Suu Kyi’s NLD party won by a landslide. Mya thwe thwe khaing was the first person to be killed.
Mass protests have been taking place across Myanmar since the military seized control on 1 Febspirit .
Elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi and members of her National League for Democracy (NLD) party are among those detained.
5 . Few days back, At least three people were killed and two vehicles burnt down by unknown assailants along a disputed border area between Peren and Dimapur districts at Lamhainamdi on Monday evening .The incident is suspected to be related to a land dispute. A source said similar incidents of destruction of structures, firing and threatening have been reported from the area over the years. However, no incidents of murder have been reported in over a decade.
These cases makes our heart bleeds, there’s so much of darkness, so much of tension, hatred but most of the time what we do? We ignore, let’s stop this. We may not be able to stop all this but let’s at least try our best to keep the peace and harmony among us, let’s keep the humanity running. Let’s keep doing what Mikhail Gorbachev, Nelson Mandela Mahatma Gandhi ,Betty Williams, Martin Luther King taught us that we are one though there are differences, let’s all be one and love each other.
Remember “Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.” – Dalai Lama.
