The Common Admission Test 2021 (CAT 2021) registration last date has been extended by a week till September 22. Candidates who still have not applied so far can visit the official website of IIM CAT i.e. iimcat.ac.in. The registration process was started on August 4, 2021.
The CAT 2021 scheduled to be held on November 28, 2021 through a computer based test. The exam will be conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. As per the official notification, the exam will be held in section.
The time duration for exam will be 120 minutes. There will be three section - section I:, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, section II: Data Interpretation and logical Reasoning, section III: Quantitative Ability. Applicants will have only exact 40 minutes to answer the questions in each section and will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering the questions in a particular section.
This year IIM, Ahmedabad has introduced some changes in the eligibility criteria that candidates with promotion/ pass instead of awards of marks certificates in any of the last two years of bachelor's degree can enter the promotion or pass option in the application form.
This will allow the applicant to complete and submit the CAT 2021 application form. This eligibility relaxation is also applicable to those final year students with an “award” of marks.
This exception is available only to applicants who are completing the bachelor’s degree this year or are in the final year bachelor’s programme (graduation years – 2021 and 2022).
Before applying, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and secured a 50% marks in their respective courses. Those candidates can also apply who are appearing for the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree and those who have completed degree requirements and are waiting for the results.
Now, if we talk about the registration fee which is Rs 2,200 for General and OBCs category candidates while Rs 1,100 for SCs, ST and Pwd category candidates. The CAT 2021 admit card will be issue online on October 27, 2021.
