The upcoming episode of SBS's "Lovers of the Red Sky" will feature a painting competition!
“Lovers of the Red Sky” is a historical fantasy romantic drama starring Kim Yoo Jung as Hong Chun Gi, the Joseon Dynasty's only female painter who was born blind but magically recovers her sight. The blind astrologer Ha Ram, played by Ahn Hyo Seop, is able to interpret the stars despite his blindness. Gong Myung co-stars as Prince Yangmyeong, a romantic and free-spirited art enthusiast who falls for Hong Chun Gi. Hong Chun Gi's passion of art and genius gift for painting is one of her most defining characteristics. Hong Chun Gi enters the Maejukheon Art Competition, which is hosted by Prince Yangmyeong, in the stills for the forthcoming episode 5.
Hundreds of talented artists from throughout the country gathered to compete, raising the stakes for anyone hoping to win. When it comes to passion and skill, though, Hong Chun Gi surpasses all of them. This is her chance to make a name for herself as an artist, but she also needs the money to help her father deal with his mental illness. To do so, she must finish first overall in the competition.
Viewers can also anticipate the efforts of Jang Tae Yoo, the arts director, in crafting this moment. Jang Tae Yoo, who previously worked on the drama "Painter of the Wind," will bring Hong Chun Gi's ability to express herself via colour to life and enhance the drama's visual direction. Kim Yoo Jung, an actress and artist, put herself into the action as well, learning the subtleties of the hand movements from an expert and producing her own drawings to fully immerse herself in her character. After she had given it her best during the actual filming, the whole production staff is said to have applauded her work.
On September 13 at 10 p.m. KST, an episode of "Lovers of the Red Sky" will air.
