India records 45,903 cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours, 490 deaths

The COVID-19 tally in India on Monday reached 8,553,657 after 45,903 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The death toll from COVID-19 has now climbed to 126,611 after 490 people died from coronavirus infection on Sunday. The fatality rate stands at 1.48% as of Monday.
There are currently 509,673 active cases of coronavirus in India that comprises 5.96% of the total caseload, after a decrease of 2,992 in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases of COVID-19 remained below 6 lakh for the 11th consecutive day.
The recovered cases of COVID-19 are at 7,917,373 after 48,405 people recovered from the infections in the last 24 hours.
India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, and 40 lakh on September 5.
It went past 50 lakh on September 16, 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11 and crossed 80 lakh on October 29.
According to the ICMR, a cumulative total of 1,18,572,192 samples have been tested up to November 8 with 835,401 tests being conducted on Sunday.
