Cyclone Yaas completed the landfall process in West Bengal and Odisha at 1 PM, Pradeep K Jena, Odisha Special Relief Commissioner said as per ANI reports. More than 1.05 lakh people have been evacuated, the official added.

“We’ve seen large-scale uprooting of trees. Roads are being cleared continuously,” ANI tweeted Jena’s statement. The Indian Meteorological Department’s announcement, the storm is likely to weaken as it moves northwards.
