Rife with injuries, the Indian team
will be heading to the Gabba, largely proclaimed as Australia’s long-time
fortress to play the fourth and final Test on Friday, looking to seek out a
favourable result to end the Test series, AFP reported.

The two teams have encountered different
types of problems in the series, so to say, as contrasting India’s medical problems,
Australia have faced disciplinary backlashes – with the Aussie captain Tim
Paine’s sledging and accusations of Steve Smith intentionally trying to remove Indian
batsman Rishabh Pant’s guard mark during the fifth day marring the fifth day.

Additionally, an incident of the Sydney crowd,
who reportedly directed racist abuse towards certain members of the Indian team,
resulted in a controversy, promoting immediate ousting of the said members of
the audience from the stadium.

Nonetheless, the Aussies have reasons
to be delighted, as with a significant number of players ruled out due to
various injuries, India’s chances of converting the fourth Test into a victory
currently face a substantially big question-mark in Gabba, where the hosts have
been defeated in more than three decades now.

The Indian team will be missing
experienced pacers such as Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, and Ishant Sharma, who
have not played in the third Test either. Batsman KL Rahul and captain Virat
Kohli, will be out because of injury and paternity leave respectively.

Further doubts loom large over Hanuma
Vihari and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, with the former suffering a pulled
hamstring during the last day of play and Ashwin experiencing a back issue.
