1: Fleabag

Created by: Phoebe Waller-Bridge

Fleabag is a British dark comedy series based on Waller-Bridge’s 2013 one-woman show of the same name. In the first episode, we are introduced to Fleabag’s best friend ‘Boo’ who comes in front of a bus to make her cheating boyfriend feel bad and accidentally dies. It cannot get darker than that. On top of that, the short duration of the episodes makes it very easily consumable. Throughout the show, the protagonist played by Bridge breaks the “fourth wall” and talks to the camera directly.

The show is about how Fleabag navigates through life while dealing with her issues of losing her best friend, betrayal and sex addiction.

2: Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Director: Kari Skogland

Falcon and The Winter Soldier has the world holding their breath as the show is about to air the final episode on Disney Plus.

The show marks the second series in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The two superheroes pair up as they go on a globe-trotting mission to defeat the Flag- Smashers, an anarchist group.

The show picks up after the events of the last Avenger’s movie- Avengers: Endgame. Its main focus is on Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon finally accepting the mantle and getting used to Captain America’s shield.

“What would be the point of all the pain and the sacrifice if I wasn’t willing to stand up and keep fighting?” he says right before a montage of him training with the shield.
