Hyundai%20India%20has%20announced%20the%20success%20of%20the%20new%20generation%20i20%20in%20the%20country%2C%20saying%20that%20it%20has%20already%20recorded%2035%2C000%20bookings%20for%20the%20premium%20hatchback%2C%20according%20to%20media%20reports.%20Launched%20in%20November%20last%20year%2C%20the%20all-new%20i20%20is%20based%20on%20the%20K%20platform%20%u2013%20a%20shared%20effort%20of%20Hyundai%20and%20Kia%20%u2013%20and%20is%20available%20in%20petrol%20and%20diesel%2C%20the%20company%20added.
Already%20done%20business%20for%208000%20units%20of%20the%20car%20in%20India%2C%20Hyundai%20has%20been%20banking%20on%20the%20i20%20for%20dominance%20in%20the%20market.%20The%20prices%20for%20the%20petrol%20variants%20range%20from%20%26nbsp%3BRs%206.80%20lakh%20to%2011.18%20lakh.%20The%20diesel%20model%20goes%20from%20Rs.%26nbsp%3B8.20%20lakh%20and%20tops%20out%20at%20Rs.%26nbsp%3B10.60%20lakh.%20The%20Hyundai%20i20%20is%20available%20in%204%20variants%20%u2013%20Magna%2C%20Sportz%2C%20Asta%20and%20Asta%20%28O%29.
The%20company%20adds%20that%20the%20K%20Platform%20means%20that%20the%20car%20is%20longer%2C%20wider%20and%20has%20a%20longer%20wheelbase.%20Other%20improvements%20count%20a%20grown%20length%20by%2010%20mm%2C%20which%20makes%20it%203995mm.%20The%20height%20remains%20unchanged%20but%20the%20width%20and%20wheelbase%20have%20increased.%20According%20to%20the%20automobile%20giant%2C%20the%20rear%20leg%20room%20has%20gone%20up%20by%2088%20mm%20which%20is%20a%20big%20improvement%20over%20the%20previous%20car.%20Engine%20options%20%u2013%20a%201.2-litre%2C%20naturally-aspirated%20petrol%2C%20a%201.0-litre%20turbo-petrol%20and%20a%201.5-litre%20diesel%u2013%20will%20offer%20choices.
The%20add-on%20features%20include%20Bluelink%20connectivity%2C%20AC%20vents%2C%20climate%20control%2C%20Apple%20Carplay%2C%20Android%20Auto%20and%20even%20a%20sunroof.
