Arvind Kejriwal, the chief of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), started his party’s “Ek Mauka AAP Ko” campaign ahead of elections in Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh on Monday, focusing on the party’s achievements in Delhi.

The campaign aims to emphasise the “positive experiences” of Delhi residents in important sectors such as education, healthcare, power, and water supply under the AAP government. It focuses on reaching out to individuals in poll-bound states using social media and other platforms and urging them to vote for the AAP if they desire comparable progress in their states.

Kejriwal invited Delhi residents to create movies documenting the city’s progress under his administration, while also urging those in poll-bound states to vote for the AAP. He also requested them to share the films on social media with people they knew in the swing states. Kejriwal directed AAP volunteers to share such video messages on social media.

“The AAP government has done a lot of outstanding work in Delhi over the previous seven years.” People from the United Nations visited Mohalla Clinics, and the US president’s wife visited Delhi’s schools. People can get free electricity 24 hours a day, seven days a week. “It was only possible because the people of Delhi gave us the opportunity,” Kejriwal explained. “Would you like to see this good effort copied in other parts of the country?” People in these (poll-bound) states should also have access to free 24-hour energy, better roads, better schools, and better healthcare.”

Kejriwal stated that if they are given the opportunity to work in other states, they will be able to continue their wonderful work. “Like everyone else, we don’t have crores of rupees. You are our true fortune. If you take the time, people in neighbouring states will listen, and our good work will spread.”

Following the election, Kejriwal intends to host a dinner for roughly 50 Delhi citizens whose videos garner the most views as part of the campaign.
