Australian captain and batsman Aaron Finch on Thursday became
the first to hit a total of 100 sixers in T20 Internationals. Finch achieved
the record against New Zealand in Wellington’s Sky Stadium. The Aussie enters
the list as the sixth batsman to have scored a minimum of 100 sixes in T20 international matches, as per a report by news agency ANI.

The right-hand batsman has scored a total of 2,310 runs in
70 matches so far, scoring a total of two centuries and 14 half centuries throughout
the process.

So far, New Zealand’s Martin Guptill leads the table with a
total of 135 sixers, followed by India’s Rohit Sharma (117), England batsman Eoin
Morgan (113 sixes), New Zealand’s Colin Munro (107 sixes), and West Indies’s
smash-hitter Chris Gayle (105 sixes).

Finch’s 79 run-knock from 55 balls took Australia to a total of 156/6.

New Zealand currently lead the series 2-1, and winnin gthe match would indicate a series-win for them.
