According to reports, a car connected to Tamil star Silambarasan aka Simbu ran over a homeless guy on Wednesday night. The 70-year-old victim, who received injuries to his head, hip, and legs, was brought to the hospital and died as a result of his injuries. According to reports, Simbu’s driver has been detained in connection with the accident.

On Wednesday night, at 8:30 pm, an accident occurred in Chennai. Munusamy, a 70-year-old pavement dweller, was crawling across the road when Simbu’s Innova car drove over him while attempting to negotiate a corner.

The vehicle is then seen fleeing the area without stopping in CCTV footage of the event that has been circulated on social media. In the video, bystanders can be seen chasing after the automobile. Bystanders took Munuswamy to the Government Royapettah Hospital, where he died later that night. According to DTNext, the police have apprehended the car’s driver, Selvam.

Simbu is the son of actor T Rajendar. The authorities have not said if Simbu, Rajendar, or any of their family members were in the car at the time of the collision. The family has yet to make a statement on the situation.

According to the authorities, the victim, Munusamy, was homeless and worked odd jobs to make ends meet. He was just hurt when a manhole cover fell on his leg. He couldn’t walk since he was paralysed.

Simbu began his career as a child actor in films directed by his father before landing the main part in Kadhal Azhivathillai (2002). Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is regarded as a Tamil cult classic, with many critics hailing it as the actor’s best performance to date. He was most recently seen in the sci-fi action picture Maanaadu, which was released in 2021.
