Actor Sonu Sood said on Friday that he had tested negative for COVID-19. Last Saturday, he had announced that he had tested positive for the disease and that he was quarantining.

Since the outbreak of
the coronavirus pandemic in the year 2020, Sonu Sood has been known for his
humanitarian work. He helped arrange transportation for the migrant workers, stranded during the nationwide lockdown. He also sponsored treatments for patients suffering from severe illnesses.

With the sudden spike in
the COVID-19 cases across the country, many people sought help from the actor. In
a tweet he shared what he could do for the people struggling with COVID-19.

“I wish I could have done better,” he tweeted.

“Tomorrow will be better,” the actor added.

India
recorded over 3 lakh cases on Thursday. 2,263 people also died of COVID-19 in the
last 24 hours, pushing the coronavirus death toll to 186,920. Prime Minister Narendra
Modi held a meeting on Friday with the Chief Ministers of the states over the current COVID situation.
