In a clip that has gone viral on the internet, a baby elephant was retrieved from a ditch following a 4-hour effort.

Parveen Kaswan, an IFS officer, shared on Twitter a video of a newborn elephant being saved after it fell into a drain. The short video of the rescue operation has gone viral online, and netizens have been impressed by the authorities quick and decisive action. 

Rescue workers can be seen working diligently to lift the baby elephant that had fallen into the ditch. They started by widening the trench. It enabled them to rope and pull it up. The operation was successful, and the calf was hauled up. The video received 3000 likes and more than 250 people retweeted it. 

The authorities were notified at 1 a.m., according to the description in the post. The search and rescue operation lasted until 5 a.m. Later, the elephant calf was safely escorted back to its group.

“At 1 a.m., teams received word of an elephant calf that had fallen into a ditch. In the dead of night, a long rescue operation was carried out. He was successfully rescued around 5 a.m,” Kaswan captioned the photo, “and then guided back to its family in a nearby woodland.” “This is a super rescue mission. 

Users appear to be impressed by the forest department’s work, and they have written lovely words in the comments section. “I have the deepest respect for the entire staff,” one netizen remarked. “You are the protectors of our wildlife,” another said.
