Actor-producer Priyanka Chopra and her husband singer Nick Jonas have come forward to donate to Bihar flood relief, after having contributed for flood relief work in Assam. The actor took to social media to announce the news and urged her followers to donate to the cause, much like she did for Assam.

Taking to Twitter, the ‘Quantico’ actor wrote, “The monsoon in India have caused major devastation in many parts of the country. In the state of Bihar, which is where I was born, continuous heavy rains have caused major flooding.”

“Much like Assam, millions of people have been affected and many have been displaced as their homes were washed away in the deluge. As they grapple with this devastation, they need all the help that we can provide. Nick and I have already donated to a few organisations whose teams are engaged in the active relief and rehabilitation work in the state. Now it’s your turn”, she added.

Priyanka shared the names of few organisations where these donations can be made.

On Monday, the actor made a similar post, where she announced that she was donating to Assam flood relief. “They need our attention and support. I’m sharing details of a few credible organizations that are doing some good work on the ground in Assam, and Nick and I have made a donation to each. Let us support them so they can continue to help those in need,” she wrote on Twitter.

More than 24 lakh people across 11 districts in Bihar have been affected due to the floods. Darbhanga district is facing the worst of it with incessant rainfall. A total of 22 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been deployed to carry out rescue missions.
