A film theatre in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, has set up barbed wire and fencing to keep people from going too close to the screen, just days before the debut of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster RRR in theatres. After the screen was damaged owing to a large audience when Pushpa was screened there, the theatre officials made this decision.

RRR, a fictional drama based on Telugu freedom heroes Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, will be released on March 25 and will investigate a historical blind spot for a cinematic extravaganza. Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Jr NTR, and Ajay Devgn appear in the film.

“Two top stars, NTR and Ram Charan, will be cast in the same film, and the entire theatre will be very chaotic,” Surya, the theatre’s in-charge, told ANI. He went on to say, “Because of the fans, the previous administration had a lot of problems. RRR has two top actors with massive fan bases. Previously, when Pushpa was being screened here, the screen was damaged due to the large crowd. That is why we are erecting this fence.”

Alia’s first collaboration with SS Rajamouli. SS Rajamouli stated that he was drawn to cast the Gangubai Kathiawadi star because she was fit for the role of Sita.

“Two top stars, NTR and Ram Charan are going to be cast in the same film, the whole theatre will be very chaotic,” Surya, the theatre in charge told ANI. He further said, “The previous administration faced a lot of difficulties due to fans. RRR has two top actors who have a massive fan following. Earlier when Pushpa was being screened here, due to heavy crowd the screen got damaged. That’s why we’re putting up this fencing.”

This is Alia’s first film with SS Rajamouli. Talking about why he chose her for the film, SS Rajamouli said he was drawn to cast the Gangubai Kathiawadi star as she was fit for the role of Sita.

“Alia appears fragile and soft on the outside, but on the inside, she has a very strong personality. I wanted someone like her to play Sita because she could balance out the fire and water of Charan and Taarak’s characters in the film” he revealed this to PTI.
