The Directorate of School Education, Haryana, on Thursday announced that government and private schools across Haryana will re-open from December 14 for the students of 10th and 12th, news agency ANI reported. The classes will be held for three hours daily (10:00 am-1:00 pm), following COVID-19 norms.

The Haryana government added that students will have to produce medical certificates not older than 72 hours to attend classes.

This decision comes as 26 more people died due to COVID-19, taking the death toll to 2,650 on Wednesday. Additionally, there were 1,400 fresh cases took the states’s infection count to 2,48,079.

Gurugram (436) and Faridabad (218) reported big spikes in coronavirus infections.

Haryana has an active coronavirus case count of 11,733 and a recovery rate of 94.20%, according to the bulletin.
