Around the world, in 2020, metal monoliths popped up and vanished mysteriously. But, in the last week of December, India witnessed its first monolith that appeared in a park at Ahmedabad. On Wednesday, a second monolith came up in Jogger’s park at Bandra in Mumbai. 

Asif Zakaria, who is a local councillor from Bandra tweeted about the metal structure appearing at a park in his locality. In his tweet, he wrote, “It’s here! Mysterious #monolith appeared in Mumbai! Check it out at Joggers Park Bandra! It has numbers on side of it let’s try & figure out what they mean Don’t know how long it will be there but cant wait to get a picture with it!”

In a second tweet, he wrote that, “It has created some buzz with residents as they try to figure out what the inscribed numbers mean. Don’t know how long it will be there go check it out!”

It created a buzz with the people who visit the park daily for morning walks, as they saw the monolith cordoned off with few saplings around. This is the second mysterious installation that has appeared after Ahmedabad in the country.

The first Monolith was found in Utah in the US, which was discovered in a remote canyon. A lot of similar structures have popped up in around 30 countries offering distraction to the coronavirus-ravaged world.

Zakaria in a statement said that the numbers etched on one of the panels are coded messages about nature and wildlife conservation.
