Gujarati theatre actor and director
Arvind Joshi, father of Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi, passed away on January
29, 2021. He breathed his last at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Actor Paresh Rawal took to social media
to mourn the demise of the Gujarati actor on Twitter.

“Irreparable loss to Indian theatre;
with grief we say goodbye to the noted actor Shri Arvind Joshi. A stalwart, a
versatile actor, an accomplished thespian, are the words that come to mind when
I think of his performances. My condolences to @TheShermanJoshi & family.
AUM SHANTI @TheSharmanJoshi,” he tweeted.

Filmmaker Anil Sharma also expressed
his grief on social media.

“V sad to hear about sad demise of
Shree Arvind Joshi Ji ..My heartiest condolences to @TheSharmanJoshi n entire
family .. RIP,” he tweeted.

Film trade analyst Komal Nahta conveyed
his condolence to Sharman and daughter Mansi Joshi.

Arvind is a renowned name on the
Gujarati stage. He has acted in films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Ittefaq’ and ‘Apmaan Ki
Aag.’

Arvind is survived by his wife and
two children. His daughter Mansi is married to actor Rohit Roy.
