Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede‘s purported pictures with the anti-narcotics agency’s ‘independent witness’ KP Gosavi have lent a new twist to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan‘s arrest in the Mumbai cruise drugs case. Gosavi’s photos and videos with Aryan Khan went viral on social media following the NCB’s drug bust on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 3. Ayran is among 20 people arrested in the case so far.

Now, several images have surfaced online that show Wankhede, the NCB’s Mumbai zonal director, and KP Gosavi in a room along with those detained in the case. The images are from inside offices at the city’s port, NDTV reports. Wankhede is also seen with Manish Bhanusali, a BJP worker who claimed to have supplied information that led to the raid, in some of the pictures.
The NCB has ordered a vigilance inquiry into allegations against Wankhede and other officials of the anti-narcotics agency by a witness in the case of an extortion bid of Rs 25 crore for letting off Aryan Khan.

Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik has questioned Gosavi’s unfettered access to Aryan Khan, whom the NCB describes as a prime accused in the case.
Gosavi, who has been absconding despite being an NCB witness, spoke to TV news channels from an undisclosed location yesterday, claiming he wanted to surrender before police in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow.

His alleged aide and another witness in the case, Prabhakar Sail, has claimed in an affidavit and in subsequent media interactions that an NCB official and others linked to probe had demanded Rs 25 crore to let off Aryan Khan.
Sail, who claims to be bodyguard of Gosavi, has been provided police protection by the Maharashtra government after he claimed threat to his life.
The NCB has declared Sail as a ‘hostile’ witness.
