Sahdev Dirdo was just another tribal boy from Naxal-hit Sukma district in Chhattisgarh till he sang “Bachpan ka Pyaar Mera bhool nahi jaana…”. Today he is a social media star and is recognised not just by users but state chief minister Bhupesh Baghel and rapper Badshah, who offered him a song as well. CM Baghel also met the Dirdo.

The song by Sahdev, which has gone viral on the internet, was also shared by Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel on Twitter.

Thousands of memes were made and shared on social media platforms of Sahdev’s version, which has been shot on a mobile phone by a random person who asked him to sing those lines. The child, who is reportedly studying in class 5, doesn’t seem to know much about the song but a few lines, possibly mugged up on the spot.

The song became so popular that Bollywood rapper Badshah contacted Sahdev and offered the little champ to come and meet him in Chandigarh. Sahdev flew from Raipur to meet Badshah, who offered him a duet song.

Many other Instagram influencers too came up with their version of ‘Bachpan ka Pyar…’

The recent addition to the clan was Sharad Kelkar who made a reel with his entire family.

Several tweaked versions of the song are doing rounds on social media but none match the raw beauty of little Sahdev, and it refuses to leave your mind.
