The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced
that the men’s Indian cricket team will play 14 T20 Internationals, four Test
matches and three one-day internationals at home between November 2021 and June
2022 as per the international itinerary.

In the eight-month period India will be facing the Kiwis
(New Zealand), West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah also announced
a hike in match fee for domestic cricketers via his Twitter account. In another
tweet he added, “Cricketers who participated in 2019-20 Domestic Season will
get 50 per cent additional match fee as compensation for season 2020-21 lost
due to COVID-19 situation #BCCIApexCouncil,”.

The Test matches will be held at Kanpur and Mumbai for the
New Zealand series while Bengaluru and Mohali will host Sri Lanka.

The 17 white ball games will be played across a
number of stadiums in Jaipur, Ranchi,
Lucknow, Vizag, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Cuttack, Trivandrum, Chennai, Rajkot and
Delhi as per PTI.

Against New Zealand the men in blue
will be playing two tests and three T20 internationals between November 17 and
December 7.

West Indies will be coming for a
three match ODI series and three T20 internationals between February 6 and
February 22.

The Sri Lankans will pit against us
for two test matches and three T20 internationals between February 25 and March
18.

While the South Africans will be
touring for a five match T20 international series between June 9 and June 19.

A BCCI official said, “We have kept
14 T20Is because we have another T20 World Cup in Australia in a year’s time
and we need to have adequate matches before the big event,” as per Times of India.
