The newly-elected Bihar MLAs will meet on Sunday at 12.30 pm to choose the incumbent Chief Minister, JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar as their leader.

This was decided at a meeting of the leaders of the four NDA constituents in Bihar–the JD(U), BJP, HAM, and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) at the residence of the Chief Minister on Friday.

“The meeting will start at 12:30 pm on November 15,” chief minister-elect Kumar said.

Kumar said on Friday, “All decisions will be taken in that meeting. After the meeting and election of the NDA leader, we will stake claim to form the government.”

In the Bihar elections, the NDA emerged winner as its BJP won 74 seats, becoming the largest party in the ruling alliance while the JD(U) slipped to 43.

Despite that, the NDA has emphatically endorsed Kumar as their next chief minister. Kumar was declared the chief ministerial candidate of the NDA much before the election processes started.

Other crucial decisions regarding the alliance will also be taken in the Sunday meeting.
