BMW Motorrad is yet to announce the launch date of its 2020 edition of G 310 R, G 310 GS motorbikes, but the company will begin the pre-bookings from September 1. The BS-6 compliant bike models can be booked from the said date at any of the company’s showroom across the country. Delivery of the bikes will be done on a first come first serve basis, the company said.

The pricing of the bikes has also been kept under cover so far, however, the BS-6 models are expected to come with a price tag more than the BS-4 models which would be discontinued. The BMW G 310 R (BS-4) was priced Rs 2.99 lakh, and the G 310 GS at Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

As far as the looks and specifications of the bikes are concerned, both the models will have minor tweaks than their outgoing predecessors. The bikes have been spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads on several occasions and spy images suggest both will sport new LED headlamps, graphics and other cosmetic changes.

Speaking of the engine specifications, the most noticeable upgrade will the BS-6 312 cc liquid-cooled engine mated with the same 6-speed transmission unit which did the duty on the BS-4 model.
