As fresh conflict emerged between India and China at the border, the Chinese Foreign ministry urged both countries to stick to facts. It also said that China hasn’t provoked any war or conflict at the border.
“China never provoked any war or conflict and never occupied an inch of other country’s territory. China’s border troops never crossed the line. Perhaps there are some communication issues,” said Hua Chunying, China Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

She also said that India and China must have goodwill in maintaining the bilateral relations and should take concrete measures to safeguard peace and tranquillity along the border.
The remarks came after the Indian Army on Monday said that the Chinese soldiers had “carried out provocative military movements to change the status quo” in eastern Ladakh on the intervening night of August 29 and 30. However, the Army said their attempts were thwarted by Indian soldiers. The incident occurred on the south bank of Pangong Tso.

NSA Ajit Doval, along with top officials, had reviewed the situation at the India-China border on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Defence Minister is likely to call another high-level meeting later today, reported ANI.
The Chinese Embassy in India also released a statement on the India-China border situation. “Indian troops illegally trespassed LAC again at the southern bank of Pangong Tso,” the statement read
