Aam Admi Party leader and Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Friday said, “We can vaccinate Delhi’s population in a few weeks,” as per ANI report.

The senior AAP leader added that the capital city could conduct a vaccination drive through its mohalla clinics, polyclinics, dispensaries, and hospitals and would start acting as soon as COVID-19 vaccines were made available by the Central government.

Since the inception of the coronavirus pandemic that originated from the wet markets of Wuhan, China, in January, Delhi registered 578,000 plus COVID-19 cases and has recorded 9,340 plus deaths.

Earlier in November, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had stated that the city was dealing with the third wave of COVID-19 infections. The AAP leader had said, “There has been a rise in Covid-19 cases. We can call this the third wave of Covid cases here. From September-October, the cases began to decline.

He had assured citizens of Delhi that requisite health care infrastructure was available in the state, adding “We are monitoring the situation and will take all necessary actions. There is no dearth of beds in the hospital and medical infrastructure.”
