A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on Saturday once again visited the flat of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in Mumbai’s suburban Bandra as part of its investigation, an official said. In the last two weeks, the central probe agency had visited the flat at least two times to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the actor’s death. Rajput’s cooks Neeraj and Keshav, and his flatmate Siddharth Pithani accompanied the team.

“The probe team along with forensic experts reached the late actor’s flat in Mont Blanc Apartments around 11.30 am,” the official said.

“After inspecting the flat, the investigators went to the terrace of the building. Later, the team members left the place for the DRDO guest house at Santacruz, where they are stationed,” he added.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the Narcotics Control Bureau formally arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty, and Sushant’s former house manager Samuel Miranda. Both of them were arrested after questioning, in relation to the drug trafficking angle linked to Rajput’s death that the anti-narcotics agency is investigating.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14, in what the Mumbai Police said was a case of suicide. However, Rajput’s father KK Singh had filed an FIR against Chakraborty last month, accusing her of abetment to suicide.

The CBI took over the inquiry into Rajput’s death earlier this month as the Centre accepted the Bihar government’s recommendation to involve the investigation agency in the case. The Enforcement Directorate is probing a money-laundering angle while the Narcotics Bureau is probing alleged dealings in banned drugs.
