Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) has recently published a revised timetable for the board examinations for classes 10 and 12. Scheduled to begin on May 4, the exams are going to be a 1.5 months-long affair. Candidates can go check their examination time table on their official website 

There has been some change in the dates of examination from the routine that was last published. In the new schedule, the Science paper for class 10 has been postponed from May 15 to May 21, and the Maths paper has been shifted from May 21 to June 2. The physics exam earlier scheduled to take place on May 13 will now take place on June 8.

Class 10th exams are scheduled to get over by June 7 and class 12th exams will go on till June 14. For class 10, exams will begin from 10.30 and go on till 1.30. However, the students have to reach the venue by 10. For class 12, exams will be held in two shifts. One will be from 10.30 to 1.30 and another from 2.30 to 5.30.

Schools were closed in March last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the central government allowed for the schools to reopen from September onwards, it was up to the state governments to decide for the re-opening. Since then, classes have resumed in several schools across India.
