Vande Bharat Express running from Chennai to Mysuru via Bengaluru is all set to take off Friday.  Indian Railways has successfully conducted a trial of the train and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train that has 16 coaches and a seating capacity of 1,128 passengers. The train will run from KSR Bengaluru City on 11 November. 

This is the fifth Vande Bharat Express that is being introduced in India and the other four are New Delhi to Varanasi Vande Bharat Express; New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express; Mumbai to Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Capital via Ahmedabad Vande Bharat and New Delhi to Una – Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express.

Route of the Chennai- Mysuru Vande Bharat Express 

The train will travel through Perambur, Veppampattu, Katpadi Junction, Gudupalli, and Malur as it makes its way from Chennai Central to Bengaluru City to Mysuru Junction. The Vande Bharat Express will only stop at Bengaluru City Junction during the 6 hours and 40 minutes of travel.

 The fares for economy class or an air-conditioned chair will start at Rs 921, while those for executive class will be Rs1,880. The cost of a ticket for people travelling from Mysuru to Bengaluru is Rs368 for economy class and Rs 768 for executive class. The tickets can be booked online through the IRCTC website.

The rain will run six days a week barring Wednesdays. 

It will set out from Chennai Central at 5.50 a,m in the morning and arrive at Bengaluru City Junction at 10.25 a.m in the morning, traveling a distance of 359 kilometers. It will stop for five minutes before continuing on to its final location, after covering a distance of 137.6 kilometers, and arriving at Mysuru Junction at 12.30 p.m.

The train will leave Mysuru Junction on the return trip at 1:05 p.m and arrive at Bengaluru City Junction at 2:55 p.m. The train will leave Bengaluru City Junction after a five-minute stop and arrive at Chennai Central at 7:35 p.m.
