The Centre on Wednesday opened registration for coronavirus vaccine for those above 18. Just minutes after the registration opened, the CoWin portal and app crashed. It started working after 30 minutes, informed Aarogya Setu.

Some users who were able to register on CoWin complained that there were no slots available till July in Mumbai. Users in Delhi-NCR said that till mid-may, no slots were available.

Some users also complained that registration was still only opened for those above 45.

People in 18-40 years of age group have to register on CoWin for getting a jab, according to the guidelines by the health ministry. From May 1, all those above 18 are eligible to get the coronavirus vaccine amid India battling the second wave of coronavirus.

The country is reporting over three lakh infections daily everyday since last week. On Wednesday, the death toll in the country crossed the 2-lakh mark.
