A CRPF officer was killed and three jawans were injured in a terrorist attack on Thursday in Lawaypora, Jammu & Kashmir, PTI reported. The terrorists opened fire at the CRPF personnel in Lawaypora in the Parimpora police station area.

According to Inspector-General (IG) Kashmir Vijay Kumar, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was involved in the attack, ANI reported.

In the attack that was carried out on the outskirts of capital Srinagar, four CRPF personnel were injured. They were rushed to a nearby private hospital, where the officer was declared dead on arrival.

The deceased officer has been identified as sub-inspector Manga Ram Dev Barman.

The three injured are constables, who were later moved to a military hospital in Srinagar.

They’ve been identified as constables Nazim Ali, Jaganath Ray and Ashok Kumar.
