Delhi Capitals opener David Warner has cheeky advice for former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli, who has been struggling to find form in IPL 2022.

“Have a couple more kids and enjoy love! The form is temporary and the class is permanent so you don’t lose that. It happens to every single player in the world,” the 35-year-old told Sports Yaari.

“It doesn’t matter how good a player you are, you’re always going to have these ebbs and flows. Sometimes the ebb is a long way before you get back up there. Stick to the basics,” he added.

Kohli has scored only 216 runs in 11 innings so far, which include two golden ducks.

Kohli’s former RCB teammate AB de Villiers also shared his views on his form.

“As a batsman you are only one or two bad knocks away from bad form,” he told AFP in an interview.

“If it keeps coming at you it is difficult to bounce back from it,” he added.

He went on to say that the struggle in form is primarily a battle of the mind.

“I cannot put a percentage to it but it is the mind and power of the mind which is the main battle,” he said.

“You do not become a bad player overnight. Virat would know it and I know it. I think it’s the way you think and set your mind.

“You need a clear mind and fresh energy whenever you play and then you can find a way out of a hole,” he added.

Apart from his poor run in the 15th season of the IPL, Kohli has been in the spotlight for not being able to score a century in over 100 matches in all formats.
