Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor are slated to record statements in the alleged drug case at Narcotics Control Bureau office on Saturday. The actors were issued summons on Wednesday as part of the investigation into the drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

On Friday the agency had questioned actor Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash, and Dharma Productions’ executive producer Kshitij Ravi. Karishma Prakash who was questioned for 7 hours is asked to appear again on Saturday when NCB would record Deepika’s statement, an official said to PTI. Prakash’s WhatsApp chats included conversations about drugs with one ‘D’ and the central agency wanted to find out who this person was, NCB sources had said earlier.
A wider drug-nexus in Bollywood emerged during an ongoing investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput who was found dead in his apartment in Bandra on June 14, in what the Mumbai Police said was a case of suicide.

The anti-drugs probing agency has already arrested actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty for their alleged role in procuring drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. NCB has also recorded the statements of Kwan CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar, producer Madhu Mantena Varma and Sushant’s talent manager Jaya Saha.
