An Archie comic has just joined The Simpsons in accurately predicting the future. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several educational institutions across the world switched to online learning in order to maintain social distancing. and most students have been attending classes from their homes using their phones or computers. A 1997 comic strip has set the internet abuzz and left social media users intrigued as it predicted this switch to remote learning. 

 The comic strip was shared on Archie Comics’ official Twitter account on Wednesday and showed the life of Betty Cooper, who is the protagonist in the comic, in “2021 AD”. It showed Betty attending online classes. 

The post soon went viral with over 31,000 likes. The strip also received reactions from intrigued netizens. 

An episode of ‘The Simpsons’ went viral last year after netizens noticed that it had sort of predicted the coronavirus pandemic.
