Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday addressed an election rally in Bihar’s Balmiki Nagar. Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress leader said the PM doesn’t talk about providing two crore jobs to the youth, ANI reported.

“He knows he was lying and people also know it,” Gandhi said.

“I guarantee, if the PM comes here and says he’ll give two crore jobs, the crowd will chase him away,” the Congress leader added.

Reiterating the steps taken by his party, Gandhi said, “Congress gave direction to the country.”

“We gave MNREGA, waived off farmers’ loans. We know how to run the country, stand with farmers and generate employment,” he said.

“But yes, we do lack one thing – we don’t know how to lie. We cannot compete with him (PM) at lying,” the Congress leader quipped, ANI reported.

“He (PM Modi) tells us to fry pakora,” a person interjected.

“Did you fry pakora?” Gandhi replied.

“Next time, offer pakoras to Modiji and Nitishji (CM Nitish Kumar,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister addressed three election rallies in Bihar, where polling is underway in Phase I of the Assembly election.
