The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday said that from September 20, metro services will follow its earlier timetable and operate from 8 am on Sundays. 

“This Sunday, 13th September, Metro operations will start at 6 AM on all sections. Starting next Sunday, 20th September, regular timings as per earlier time table with services starting at 8 AM on Phase 3 sections (on Sundays) will continue,” the DMRC said in a tweet.

The Magenta Line and Grey Line of the Delhi metro, connecting Hauz Khas-Noida and Dwarka-Najafgarh, resumed operations on Friday at the Phase 2 part of starting the services.

In this phase, metro services will be operational in two shifts– 7 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 10 pm.

The Delhi Metro resumed its operations in a graded manner after being closed for 173 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Yellow Line and Rapid Metro were the first ones to be reopened on September 7, followed by Blue Line and Pink Line resuming services on September 9.

“Our main aim to make sure passengers maintain social distancing and wear face masks. So far, no violation of norms has been noticed,” DCP (Metro) Jitendra Mani told news agency ANI.
