Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan has tested positive for COVID-19. She took to Instagram to share the news on Wednesday. She wrote that she had received both the shots of the COVID-19 vaccine and she was working with fully-vaccinated crew and cast members. She wrote, “I wonder if this happened coz I didn’t put my ‘kaala teeka’… Despite being double vaccinated, and working with mostly double vaxxed people, I’ve still managed to test positive for Covid.”

She asked everyone who came in her contact to get tested.

Farah Khan, who married filmmaker Sirish Kunder, has three kids.

She was shooting for reality TV show ‘Zee Comedy Show’, on which she appears as a judge. According to reports, singer Mika Singh will replace Farah on the show till she recovers completely.

Apart from ‘Zee Comedy Show’, the filmmaker was recently seen on ‘Super Dancer 4’ as a guest. She shared the judges panel along with Shilpa Shetty, Geeta Kapoor and Anurag Basu. She will also on an episode of Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 for a Friday special, which she shot recently.

India on Wednesday recorded 41,96 fresh COVID-19 cases, which 35.6% higher than Tuesday, according to the government data. The country also reported 460 COVID-19 related deaths on Wednesday.

Even though the state of Maharashtra is witnessing dip in COVID-19 cases, Mumbai is still seeing over 300 new cases everyday since last week.

The state reported 3,741 cases on August 31, against the over 4,500 cases being recorded for the last few days, and 52 deaths. It is the lowest since June 5. The total caseload of Maharashtra rose to 64.6 lakh. So far, 1.4 lakh people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the state.
