Villarreal
CF prepare to face Manchester United in the Europa League finals at PGE Arena
in Gdansk. Villarreal have a chance of ending their major trophy drought after
several semi-final appearances over the last 15 years. On the other hand,
Manchester United will aim for the Europa League title again. They last won the title in 2016/17.

Here is the combined playing XI.

Goal
Keeper:

David de Gea:

Manchester United have two good goalkeepers in their squad, but De
Gea will start the final against Villarreal as he has done so in their previous four games in Europa League.

Defenders:

Aaron
Wan-Bissaka:

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a mainstay for Manchester United ever since he joined the club. He has been rock-solid at the back.

Luke Shaw:

There’s no debate here. We can all have conversations about Alex
Pedraza and Estupinian having good or bad seasons, but Luke Shaw has been a
revelation. Solskjaer has helped him a lot this season and we’re finally seeing
the real Luke Shaw.

Victor Lindelof:

Victor Lindelof has had a pretty underrated season. Yes,
Manchester United doesn’t have the tidiest defensive record in the world, but
Lindelof has done a pretty good job beside Harry Maguire.

Pau Torres:

Pau Torres has been absolutely great this season for Villarreal.
He’s been one of the best center-backs in the league and in general, has proven
himself as one of the most sought-after center-backs in all of Europe.

Midfielders:

Paul Pogba:

Paul Pogba has had many ups and downs during his time at
Manchester United. He has been criticized and has also been shown love many
times. But ever since he has been given a slight shift of roles, Pogba has been
great.

Bruno
Fernandes:

Bruno Fernandes is one of the best midfielders in the
world since he joined Manchester United. One can see the
staggering differences from before he joined the club. To say he’s had a big
impact on the team would be an understatement.

Dani Parejo:

Dani Parejo has quietly had another pretty good season. It just
seems as if the man doesn’t age. He was easily one of the steals of the season,
because Villarreal didn’t even pay 15 million euros for him.

He has been very good sitting with Manu Trigueros in the middle
of the park, and he easily deserves this selection.

Attackers:

Edinson
Cavani:

Like a seasoned
athlete, the Uruguayan is finishing the season with a blistering kick averaging
well over a goal every 90 minutes since mid-April.

Marcus
Rashford:

Marcus Rashford is still pretty much the best winger available
out of the two teams. He hasn’t had the most consistent of seasons but he
hasn’t been bad by any means. He’s still had a good season, contributing to 22
goals in the Premier League.

Gerard
Moreno:

Gerard Moreno has scored 29 goals and 12 assists in all
competitions in 43 appearances.
