Chennai Super Kings just
have a game left to end their disastrous IPL 2022 campaign. CSK are currently
placed ninth on the points table with eight points in 13 matches. The defending
champions failed badly this season after appointing Ravindra Jadeja as their
captain. The move proved to be a disaster as CSK lost eight straight matches.
As Jadeja stepped down, MS Dhoni, who relinquished the captaincy before the start of the tournament, stepped in to lead the side.

CSK have so far won four
matches and have been eliminated. They will look to make a strong comeback next
season.

Though Dhoni took over the
reins again, it did not yield any good results for the Yellow Brigade. However,
despite their dismal run this season, fans have supported and backed CSK in
what has been a difficult year for the defending champions.

As the IPL 2022 nears its
end, a CSK loyal wrote a heartfelt letter to Dhoni.

“O captain, our
captain, there shall never be someone like you,” a phrase from the letter
read.

Responding to the letter,
which was framed by CSK, Dhoni signed it and wrote, “Well Written. Best
Wishes”.

CSK shared the images of the
letter on their official Twitter handle with a captain: “Words from the
yellow love framed for life & signed with love!”.

CSK were eliminated from IPL
2022 after losing to archrivals Mumbai Indians. They will aim to make a strong
comeback next season, but it is unknown whether Dhoni will remain as captain of
the team.

Meanwhile, Dhoni has been in
good form with the bat this season, scoring 203 runs at an average of 34,
including one fifty. CSK will play Rajasthan Royals in their final game of the
season on Friday at the Brabourne Stadium.
