It has been 72 days since farmers started protesting against the farm laws and certain celebrities, including Diljit Dosanjh, Kangana Ranaut, Tapsee Pannu and many others came forward to speak about the issue. People and celebrities on the internet are divided and everybody has picked up their sides.
However, recently after international pop star Rihanna tweeted about the issue, it became a talking point in many parts of the world.
US Vice President Kamala Harris’ niece Meena Harris, who is a lawyer by profession, also came forward to express her opinions about the protests. She shared a photo of a protest against her and said that she is in full support of the farmers’ agitation.
She tweeted, “I spoke out in support of human rights for Indian farmers, and look at the response,” Meena Harris tweeted on Thursday, sharing a photo by Reuters journalist Danish Siddiqui.
However, Meena Harris is not the only international celebrity to come forward in support of the farmers. Swedish environmentalist Greta Thunberg also came forward to speak on the issue.
