Ghaziabad assembly constituency has Atul Garg of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), taking on Vishal Verma of the SP-RLD alliance, Sushant Goyal of the Congress and Krishan Kumar Shukla of the BSP, who was previously in the BJP, this year in the Uttar Pradesh assembly election.
Atul Garg had won the Ghaziabad seat in 2017 as the BJP swept Uttar Pradesh winning 312 of UP’s 403 assembly seats. Atul Garg won by a margin of 70505 votes over his nearest rival, Suresh Bansal of the BSP.

Ghaziabad Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Ghaziabad district and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency.
The Ghaziabad assembly constituency will vote in the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh elections on February 10, 2022, along with 57 other constituencies in 11 districts. Uttar Pradesh will vote in seven rounds, with the last round on March 3.
