Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar highlighted the importance
of consuming ghee for better health. She was speaking during the Fit India
Dialogue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other health influencers to celebrate the first
anniversary of the Fit India Movement

 “You will not
believe that in the US, how to pronounce ghee was the most searched thing which
means people are talking about it,” said Diwaker, who has clients including
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, during her session with PM Modi

To highlight the importance of fitness, more so during
the COVID-19 pandemic, PM Modi is interacting with fitness
influencers, including cricketer Virat Kohli and fitness enthusiast Milind
Soman, during a nation-wide online Fit India Dialogue.

The Dialogue is being organized to celebrate the first
anniversary of the Fit India Movement.

Rujuta also said that while trying to lose
weight, people usually lose health and that is the problem.

“We don’t get the proper sleep at night because we run
after losing weight. In India, Roti (Indian bread), vegetables, rice, and
pulses along with ghee is the specialty. In the time like IPL, if men can also
help women in the kitchen than automatically their health will be fit and
fine,” she said.

Giving an example, she asked PM Modi, “I am sure your
mother would be asking if you have taken Haldi (Turmeric) and all. Also when
you were a child, she must be saying that don’t count how many rotis (Indian
bread) you are eating and chew properly.”

Last year, the Fit India Movement saw enthusiastic
participation of people from all walks of life and from across the country. The
Fit India Freedom Run, Cyclothon, Fit India Week, Fit India School Certificate,
and various other programs saw the combined participation of over three crore people.
