The Bharatiya Janata Party unveiled a list of 34 candidates who will be contesting the upcoming assembly elections in Goa. Pramod Sawant, the current Chief Minister of the state will take up the Sanquelim constituency.

Manohar Ajgaonkar, the Deputy Chief Minister of Goa, will be contesting the elections from Margaon. Utpal Parrikar, the son of former Goa Chief Minister and Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, missed out on a BJP ticket.

While announcing the candidates on Thursday, Goa’s poll in charge Devendra Fadnavis said that the BJP ushered in a new era of development Goa in the last 10 years while also ensuring stability, PTI reported.

The 40-constituency elections for the Goa assembly will be held in a single phase and are scheduled for February 14.

3) Mapusa: Joshua Peter D’Souza

4) Siolim: Dayanand Rayu Mandrekar

5) Saligao: Jayesh Vidyadhar Salgaonkar

6) Porvorim : Rohan Ashok Khaunte

7) Aldona: Glenn John E.Souza Ticlo

8) Panaji: Atanasio Monserratte

9) Teleigo: Jennifer Monseratte
